The Nairobi Coffee and Tea Company was founded over one hundred years ago, and ever since that time we have been cultivating and recording recipes, some of which have become iconic Blue Mountain ground coffee blends.
Now in our second century of roasting and grinding, we revisited our bestselling creations from an earlier era. With that sense of curiosity, we turned to our 1940s Heritage Collection of ground coffees.
Our 1945 Blue Mountain ground coffee blend is inspired by the taste and aroma of traditional Blue Mountain Coffee. It was originally created to honour Victory in Europe and to mark the formal incorporation of The Nairobi Coffee and Tea Company, making it a rather special Blue Mountain ground coffee indeed.
The taste and aroma of 1940s coffees were very different from today’s blends. This gentle approach to roasting and blending a particular selection of coffees produces a refinement that leaves you satisfied, uplifted, and ready for the day ahead.
